Scenario Planning

A form of contingency planning in which possible futures are explored based upon specific combinations of events. For example, if a global pandemic caused the cancellation of all international air travel, what would be the impact on the organisation’s supply chains? The approach allows the identification of what might happen and the development of appropriate contingency plans. See also Contingency Planning.
