Power Users

Power users are those who are most influential in the decision-making process. Typically they are the key budget holders with the highest spend, or the most technical expertise, who may also be engaged as stakeholders to participate on a cross-functional team to understand a category better. As stakeholders, their significance relates to the impact of the category on their department’s performance, rather than their technical insight, unlike the subject matter expert whose expertise lies predominantly in their technical competence.
