Logistics

Logistics is the management of the flow of goods between their origin and the point of use. Logistics includes the transportation, storage, warehousing, handling, packaging and security of goods. Logistics is usually described as having a narrower scope than supply chain management as the focus is primarily on the flow of goods and the integration of processes; in particular, the sharing of information is not as central to logistics as to supply chain management.
